Substitute Special Education Teacher

Substitute teachers provide instruction and therapeutic interventions for students with emotional and behavioral needs in the absence of the regular educator. They are responsible for classroom management, maintaining student records, and implementing behavioral strategies alongside behavior technicians.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and an active arizona substitute or teaching certificate. Experience working with emotional or behaviorally challenged students is preferred, and the ability to perform crisis management interventions is required.
