  • Range: $15.92 - $16.50 HourlyResponsible for assisting the Site Supervisor and/or Assistant Site Supervisor in preparing, implementing, and supervising activities for the children at the before/after school care site. Program locations are based in Monmouth County elementary schools, including Matawan, Marlboro, Freehold, Manalapan, Colts Neck, Atlantic Highlands, Red Bank, Shrewsbury, Little Silver, Monmouth Beach, West Long Branch, Spring Lake, and Fair Haven. Provides a safe and quality experience to children, members and staff focused on our YMCA core values of caring, honesty, inclusion, respect, and responsibility. Assists in preparation and implementation of all activities. Helps create a safe and supportive learning environment. Meets the individual and group needs of the children. Assists Site Supervisor/Assistant Site Supervisor in supervising children during play as well assuring quiet homework time. Is familiar with emergency procedures, as well as resources such as emergency cards, medical forms and allergy lists. Behaves as a role model illustrating YMCA philosophy and values. Performs proper clean-up such as games/toys put away, tables washed and disinfected. Maintains punctuality, good attendance and appropriate attire. Maintains positive rapport with school personnel. Directs all parental questions/concerns to the Site Supervisor. Qualifications At least 16 years of age High school diploma or GED Must have a warm and friendly personality Must be sensitive toward the feelings and needs of others Must be able to relate well to young children Must be mature, responsible and organized Act as a role model for the children Demonstrate a commitment to the YMCA philosophy and core values
