Job description
The Athletics Liaison and Dual Enrollment Specialist is a dual-function role within the Registrar’s Office. This individual serves as the primary Registrar liaison to the Athletics Department, ensuring institutional adherence to NCAA eligibility standards. Simultaneously, they manage the end-to-end data, records, and registration lifecycle for Dual Enrollment (DE) students. The Specialist ensures operational excellence through strict calendar management, precise degree audit maintenance, and proactive communication with partner high schools and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Athletics Liaison • Interdepartmental Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Athletics Department and the Registrar’s Office to facilitate student-athlete success and compliance.
- Eligibility
- Verification: Collaborate with Admissions to verify the receipt of transcripts and expedite the evaluation of prospective student-athletes.
- Progress
- Toward
- Degree: Verify "Progress Toward Degree" requirements for all student-athletes, ensuring accurate tracking of credit hours and GPA thresholds.

- Integrity: Review student-athlete records for changes in degree programs, grade updates, repeated courses, and remedial coursework to ensure continued NCAA eligibility.
2. Dual Enrollment (DE) Management • Registration Coordination
- Lead the DE registration process in partnership with the DE Admissions Coordinator, ensuring students are correctly enrolled in university systems.
- Schedule
- Maintenance: Build and maintain DE course sections within the university scheduling system; manage complex add/drop and withdrawal requests in alignment with both university and partner high school calendars.
- Records &
- Grading: Oversee the collection and posting of DE grades; maintain academic standing records, including GPA tracking and continuation eligibility.

- Services: Facilitate student transcript requests via Parchment and ensure adherence to grade appeal and "Incomplete" policies.
- Reporting: Partner with Institutional Research to generate enrollment and student success reports for the DE program.
3. Core Registrar Operations • Degree Audit Management
- Assist with the Conclusive Degree Audits for athletes and dual enrollment students to ensure accurate, real-time visualizations of their path to graduation.
