Our school programs service young children with severe and complex disabilities including autism, physical disabilities, and communication limitations.The Personal Care Assistant/Teaching Assistant will fill a critical role in the expansion of Positive Behavior Supports within Easterseals. The primary role involves implementing strategies as outlined in Positive Behavior Support Plans which could include but are not limited to providing direct instruction based on the student's IEP goals. This individual will need to demonstrate flexibility in that they may be serving one student at a time or be supporting a classroom teacher in an assistant role.Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in a related field and/or current RBT certification required.
Experience working with children with disabilities and/or challenging behavior preferred.
CPR/First aid certification preferred.
Reliable transportation is required for possible travel to additional school sites.
