Who you are

You are an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist who can provide professional, psycho-social assessments and psychotherapy counseling to identify emotional, mental and behavioral problems through observations, interviews and tests.

  • What you’ll do
  • Identify psychological, emotional or behavioral issues
  • Diagnose psychological, emotional or behavioral disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes
  • Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment
  • Monitor client progress through regular meetings or sessions
  • Administering assessment tools in order to properly identify the issue of concern, as well as evaluation procedures to determine the client’s level of functionality.
  • Engage in diagnostic activities, which involve utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V) to formally identify the issue at hand.
  • Facilitate positive change in the client’s functioning.
  • Treatment duties may include overseeing group or family therapy, or intervention techniques to overcome a specific phobia.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you’ll need

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in clinical psychology, counseling psychology or health psychology
  • PA Licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • Specialized training in child/adolescent assessment and treatment (preferred)
  • Clearances & Training Required
  • Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
  • Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
  • Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
  • State License of Practice and/or Certification
  • CPR/First Aid
  • TB/Physical
