The Innovative School of Temple Beth Sholom on Miami Beach is seeking an energetic, dynamic, reflective and intentional Elementary Level Assistant Teacher, for a full-time position, starting in August 2026. Responsibilities

The Assistant Teacher is a vital member of the teaching team at The Innovative School. The Assistant Teacher brings educator experience, interpersonal skills, and a desire for professional growth to contribute to a school culture rooted in joyful learning and academic excellence. As an Assistant Teacher, your responsibilities will include: Working in collaboration with Lead Teachers to maintain daily classroom routines, transitions, and care of their surroundings Building relationships with learners to understand their interests and curiosities as well as how they learn best. These observations and insights will contribute to decisions about curriculum, assessment, and tailored learning experiences. Sharing the responsibility of Lead Teachers to support learners’ growth across social, emotional, and cognitive domains.

Assistant Teachers will demonstrate openness to observation and feedback and willingness to grow as a collaborative, reflective educator. Position designation (Assistant, Associate or Lead Teacher) is determined by a combination of skill level, experience in our program, level of education, certification, and professional goals. While Lead Teachers carry greater responsibility in curriculum development, documentation, and communication with families and support specialists, all educators are expected to contribute equitably to daily classroom responsibilities.
