Overview of Role

  • We are looking for a fun and nurturing teacher with experience teaching preschool/PreK. Our preschool/PreK teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of their assigned classroom. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment. They will work directly with children and parents daily to build strong relationships and provide quality service.

  • Lead Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. Lead Teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning!

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, AA Degree or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
  • CDA
  • MSDE qualified as a Preschool Teacher (90-hour Infant Certification)
  • Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training (Basic Health and Safety, COVID-19 Safety, ADA) or willing to do so
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Prior classroom experience (new graduates please also apply-training available)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong written and communication skills
