- As a Social Worker, you will play an important role, providing service coordination to the children and families served within the Early Childhood Education Division at Cardinal McCloskey Community Services.
- The Social Worker will work with pregnant women and children birth through five-years-old.
- This position requires excellent family engagement skills, high quality social service delivery, knowledge of supportive services and resources for families, strong advocacy, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with Family Advocates, provides case management services and support to the children and families of the ECED. Plan and facilitate parent support groups across all ECED program options. Collaborates with Disabilities Manager to organize case conference meetings with staff to discuss and develop strategies to support high-need children and families. Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of professional development training for staff related to social services, child development, and parenting. Provide training, technical assistance and skills building for staff on handling crises, such as making calls to the State Central Registrar etc. Work collaboratively with Directors and Family Advocates to develop programs and activities that are of interest to families and will support their needs.
Requirements
Caring, upbeat personality. At minimum a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), licensure (LMSW) preferred. Ability to travel to various ECED sites to provide social work service. Bilingual Spanish/English.
