Responsibilities

  • The Jackson R. Lehman YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive Youth and Family Instructor (Robotics) Instructor to support the robotics program.
  • Connect: Actively engage, mentor, and lead the robotics program participants to help them build confidence in themselves through enriching activities.
  • Serve: Assist with the setup, delivery, participation, and cleanup of scheduled program activities.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Positions that require an employee to drive YMCA vehicles require a clean driving record.
  • One year of teaching or related experience in the program area preferred.
  • Certification by an approved organization in the program area being led, when required.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm.
  • Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency.
  • An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
  • Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse

Salary

Part-time $12.44-14.50 hourly
