Responsibilities
- The Jackson R. Lehman YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive Youth and Family Instructor (Robotics) Instructor to support the robotics program.
- Connect: Actively engage, mentor, and lead the robotics program participants to help them build confidence in themselves through enriching activities.
- Serve: Assist with the setup, delivery, participation, and cleanup of scheduled program activities.
Requirements
- Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Positions that require an employee to drive YMCA vehicles require a clean driving record.
- One year of teaching or related experience in the program area preferred.
- Certification by an approved organization in the program area being led, when required.
- Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
- Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm.
- Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency.
- An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse
Salary
Part-time $12.44-14.50 hourly
Hours Available: Tuesday evenings
