Position Title

Registered Nurse, Student Health Center Time Type: Full time Position Summary and Qualifications: The Student Health Nurse provides support for the overall wellbeing of the students through first aid, educational health programming, and the general operations of the Health & Wellness Services for students. The Student Health Nurse provides administrative support for the collection and maintenance of student health records. This is a 10-month position. Duties & Responsibilities

To interview, assess, and prioritize health issues including dietary history, family history, diagnostic data and observation. To measure nursing objectives, implement evidence based nursing interventions and actions of care, evaluate the effectiveness of the identified actions and report the student focused learning outcomes. To collect subjective and objective data about a student including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors. To assist the physicians and nurse practitioners with the care of the students. To provide nursing care, and referral as needed, for illness and/or injury for students. To provide health education and a safe environment. To collaborate with the Main Line Health providers, the student support team, other members of the university professional community, other health care providers, and parents when appropriate. To provide education and continuity of care. To maintain health records, including initial data gathering, track immunizations, current medications, allergies, and any past medical and surgical history. To contribute to the professional development of self, peers, colleagues, and other university staff. To contribute to campus wellness initiatives through outreach, education, and programming regarding health and wellness topics. To serve as a point of contact within the Student Health Center maintaining confidential and accurate student record management ensuring that all legal and ethical requirements, and University policies are upheld. Duties & Responsibilities

To assist with the review of the Health Evaluation Forms submitted by incoming students, and to follow up with incomplete or missing forms. To assist with scanning charts into the EMR, and uploading immunization and other relevant data into the system. To arrange referrals, appointments and transportation as needed. To assist with maintaining and ordering medical supplies and medications. To provide office support, phone calls, copies, etc. To research and develop communication for various health topics that are required and/or beneficial for the health and well-being of the community (i.e., drug and alcohol education, cause/awareness dates, etc.). Act as a Data Security Steward to include: Responsible for the accuracy, security and integrity of data within the area; Create and maintain a secure office environment to protect all information resources within your purview; Establish and enforce sound policies and procedures to manage the information resources assigned to you; Serve in compliance with the University's Data Stewardship Policy statement. The person who holds this position has been classified as a Campus Security Authority under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).

Minimum Qualifications

Required BSN RN with a minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in general medical-surgical areas. Excellent physical assessment skills are necessary. Excellent communication skills are necessary. Maintain current PA Nursing license, CPR certified, maintain CEU’s for annual licensures. Experience working in higher education and/or school nursing. Basic clinical procedures, such as phlebotomy, throat/wound cultures, injections, allergy/asthma skills. Preferred ER, primary care, or college health experience is desirable. Keep up to date on topics and skills in college health, join Southeastern Pennsylvania College Health Nurses Association. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours Standing, walking, lifting under 15 pounds. Pay Transparency: The estimated pay range for this position is $65,000-$69,550 annually. The offered salary will be commensurate with work experience and educational background.
