The interpreter will effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English across various settings, empowering deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to advocate for themselves. Responsibilities also include maintaining compliance with licensure requirements and adhering to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
Candidates should possess an understanding of deaf culture, social experiences, and educational history for individuals with hearing loss, along with proven interpersonal and excellent written communication skills. Required technical setup includes a Windows 10 or higher computer, steady wired internet (20/10 Mbps minimum), a webcam, a wired headset, and a solid color backdrop.
