  • Overview: Carleton College, a highly selective liberal arts college, seeks to hire a part-time Assistant Football Coach in the Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation (PEAR) Department to assist in phases of a successful and competitive NCAA Division III program. Carleton College aims to hire those that share our college values of excellence in education, multiculturalism and service to society. We aspire to hire a coach who will invest in the success and holistic well-being of our entire student-athlete population and provide a highly competitive athletic experience for the students we serve. This is a part-time position reporting to the Chair of PEAR / Athletics Director. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

Compensation

  • The expected starting salary range for this position is between $12,000 and $15,000. The salary range has been prorated based on the part-time nature of this position. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.

  • Required: BA or BS degree 1-2 years coaching or playing at the collegiate level Commitment to the student-athlete, passion for the sport, attention to detail as well as excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Self-motivated with the ability to help recruit, teach and coach highly talented scholar-athletes who can succeed in a challenging academic environment Valid driver’s license. Must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions, operations, safety procedures, and hazardous labels.
