Job Description

West Virginia University School of Medicine – Eastern Division Department of Family Medicine seek a Family Medicine Physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Winchester, VA.

Duties

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Family Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidates must have completed Family Medicine residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Family Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Practice Information: Expanding service and location with incredible growth opportunity. Leadership & Collegial SUPPORT of SUBSPECIALITY areas ranging from community medicine, HIV/Hepatitis C care, procedural medicine, prenatal care, and more! A rare FLEX REMOTE perk, with the option of taking one virtual clinic session per week. Privilege of INBASKET SUPPORT FULL-TIME SCRIBE SUPPORT! Other baseline support includes Epic EMR, dictation software, and 1:1 MA ratio. Located a little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, close to 3 international airports. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living mixed with the easy accessibility to the Washington DC / Baltimore areas make the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place in which to live. While Berkeley County is among the fastest growing counties in the state, there is little congestion and traffic. In recent years, a steady influx of urban professionals from nearby Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland have contributed to the growth of local telecommuting and high-tech industries.
