You work closely with the Director of Sports Medicine, team physicians, coaches, and the broader athletic department, contributing to a team where every member plays a meaningful role.

You keep accurate medical records, manage inventory, and maintain the training room with the same care and precision you bring to treating athletes.

What you will do

  • Clinical Care
  • Evaluate, prevent, and treat injuries and illnesses for student-athletes in grades 6-12
  • Provide immediate care, rehabilitation, and referrals under the supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine and team physicians
  • Maintain all required training certifications and stay current with best practices in athletic training
  • Communication & Advocacy
  • Serve as a trusted communicator with parents, coaches, teachers, and administrators regarding athlete health and safety

    • Manage the athletic training room and maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment
    • Assist with equipment maintenance, supply ordering, and inventory management
    • Practice & Game Coverage
    • Attend practices and games as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine
    • Provide on-site coverage and immediate response across Lovett's 65+ Middle School through Varsity teams

    What you bring

    • Required Qualifications
    • NATABOC Athletic Trainer Certification and Georgia Licensure - or current eligibility to apply
    • Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (BLS or Professional Rescuer level)
    • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with young athletes in the prevention, identification, and treatment of injuries and illnesses
    • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced athletic environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Sheets and Docs
    • Availability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the athletic schedule demands
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of an active athletic training environment
