Responsibilities

Plan a classroom curriculum that meets school standards Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking skills Prepare any necessary learning materials Assign homework Take attendance Grade assignments and provide feedback Document students’ learning progress Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment Report and document behavioral incidents

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Education or related field
• Updated Clearances
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and learning styles
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in using learning technology tools
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to different situations
• Experience in creative writing, public speaking, or proofreading is a plus Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines Excellent verbal and written communication skills
