Qualifications

• a.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED required. b.
• A minimum of 48 units of college curriculum or completion of the Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE) required; or a combination of knowledge and experience. c.
• Minimum of one 1 year experience working directly with school aged youth and knowledge of youth development is preferred. d.
• Experience using communication tools like Zoom and Skype preferred. e.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth; instruct, coach, and direct varied activities. f.
• Skill to implement and supervise a positive learning environment, incorporating academics, enrichment, and recreation; motivate and engage youth and manage behavioral challenges with peer mediation. g.
• Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office, email, internet research, social media navigation. h.
• Possess skills for instruction, direction, and guidance, with the ability to lead and control groups of children in various recreational and educational activities and settings. i.
• Respond according to procedure for emergency and disciplinary situations. j.
• Ability to effectively communicate with youth, parents, staff, volunteers, and community partners. k.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications within 30 days of hire. l.
• Must have the ability to be active and on your feet for a minimum of five hours each day and complete other essential functions of the position and other duties as assigned.

• Successful completion of pre-employment background check
• Maintains compliance with the organization's drug-free workplace policy
• Clear TB test as required by the school district.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Comply with COVID protocols.
• 48 College units or pass a test administered by the district.
• Submission of high school diploma or college transcript

• Be proactive in identifying and reporting any safety concerns or maintenance requirements to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. c.
• Participate in safety drills and contribute to ongoing risk assessment and emergency preparedness efforts. d.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Club safety and wellness policies and procedures across the Club.
