The instructor will teach, conduct, and develop Music Appreciation courses in various formats while fostering an inclusive learning environment. They are responsible for implementing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and maintaining accurate academic records.
Kilgore College is seeking a passionate and experienced Instructor to join our Music Department. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction to students of various backgrounds, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The instructor will be responsible for teaching a college level Music Appreciation course in multiple formats (in-person, online, hybrid, dual credit).
Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program.
All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.

Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually as the need for part time instructors fluctuates with student enrollment.
Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment.
An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a background check.

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Music or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Music History. Previous teaching experience at the college level or a similar educational setting is required.
