About the role

The counselor is responsible for supervising campers and implementing activities while ensuring the safety and inclusion of all participants. They must also maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding camp activities.

What is needed for this job: At least 18 years old High school graduate or equivalent Or enrolled in a minimum of 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements.

Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and experience working with children.

The responsibilities we will trust you with: Supervise campers and activity implementation.

Ensure all campers can participate in all activities, no matter varied abilities whether physical, or intellectual.

Actively participate in activities to encourage participation.

Ensure appropriate behavior of campers and staff to avoid the risk of accidents.

Assist in maintaining effective communication with parents/guardians regarding camper and camp activities.

Embody the GPY commitment to diversity and inclusion, no matter race, color, creed, or gender identification.
