Teacher - Exceptional Children (EC) - Middle School

The exceptional teacher provides special education services by developing and implementing individual education programs (Iep) tailored to students' needs. They are responsible for monitoring student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaborating with parents and support staff.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in education and possess a valid teaching certificate from north carolina or a partnering state. The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including monitoring student safety and assisting with personal self-Help needs.
