About the Role

As a Lead Teacher, you are at the forefront of providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Your leadership and dedication are instrumental in shaping the educational experience of the children and parents under our care, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed for their holistic development.

Key Responsibilities Implement Classroom Curriculum and Plan Weekly Activities Monitor Child Development and Progress Assist with Center Cleaning and Support Colleagues Ensure Children's Records and Photos are Updated in Management Systems Maintain a safe environment and communicate with parents Complete In-Service and Yearly Training, Comply with Regulations Inform Teachers and Directors of Classroom and Building Issues Organize and Arrange Classroom Appropriately Collaborate with Staff to Maintain Professional Environment Maintain cleanliness of center Be willing to assist director with miscellaneous duties Supervise Children, Ensure Playground Safety, and Maintain Cleanliness of classroom and restrooms

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum age of 18 years. Completion of Early Childhood Credentials 1&2 (Directors will submit credentials to DDEEC for validation). Twelve additional credit hours in early childhood education. At least one year of experience working with young children. Eligibility to work with children in the state of North Carolina based on a criminal background check. Flexibility to work at other local childcare centers in emergency situations. Positive attitude and passion for working with children and families.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) or its equivalent as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services Two-year degree in early childhood education or related field. Certification or training in early childhood education curriculum development. Strong organizational skills for managing classroom arrangements and records. Effective communication skills for interacting with parents, teachers, and colleagues. Commitment to ongoing professional development and training. Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to childcare. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Experience in implementing and monitoring curriculum and activities. Familiarity with child development principles and best practices.
