- SUMMARY: PRESCHOOL CAMP COUNSELOR The Preschool Camp Counselor is a part time seasonal position that may require additional hours per week. Camp Counselor should display a desire to work with children ages 3-6 through positive interaction and role modeling.

- FUNCTIONS: Acts as a positive role model while teaching and encouraging healthy leisure lifestyle. Interacts positively and professionally with campers. Leads and helps plan daily activities. Maintains and implements safety standards and procedures at all times to ensure a well-rounded program in a safe, positive environment. Will attend all scheduled trainings and meetings as deemed necessary by the Recreation Supervisor. Will enforce all Summer Camp policies and procedures.

- MANAGEMENT: Uphold safety and risk management strategies in support of and compliance with Park District policies, procedures, ordinances and practices Familiarity with and effective implementation of the Employee Safety Manual, Emergency Response Plan, and Crisis Management Plan Attend professional educational and safety trainings Assist with emergency procedures and building evaluation Utilize Personal Protective Equipment when performing duties, based on job tasks Correct unsafe conditions and/or report them to supervisor Promptly report hazardous conditions, accidents and injuries to supervisor Complete incident/accident report forms and promptly forwards them to supervisorQualifications
