AMG Diabetic Nurse Educator - Endocrinology

The role involves providing diabetes self-Management education and support following national standards, assessing patient needs, and developing/Updating individualized plans of care. Responsibilities also include educating patients on diabetes management, nutrition, exercise, and medications, while acting as a resource for healthcare providers and the community.

Candidates must possess a registered nurse license or dietitian certification along with rd registration, and must obtain certified diabetes care and education specialist (Cdces) certification within three years. A bachelor's degree in nursing or dietetics is required, along with typically two years of experience as a registered nurse or dietitian with advanced clinical knowledge of diabetes.
