The Residential Life Parent is responsible for supervising and supporting boarding students to ensure a safe, structured, and respectful residential environment. They manage daily routines, enforce behavioral expectations, and maintain student accountability throughout the campus residential program.

Proud member of the Nord Anglia Education global network of schools.Position Summary / Job Goals: The Residential Life Parent is responsible for supervising and supporting boarding students in a safe, structured, and respectful residential environment.

This role helps ensure students follow daily routines, meet behavioral expectations, and feel supported in their day-to-day campus life.

The Residential Life Parent plays an important role in maintaining student accountability, promoting positive behavior, and supporting students’ overall success within the residential program.Qualifications / Training:

Bachelor’s degree preferred (or currently in progress) Experience / Knowledge

Experience working with students or youth in structured settings such as schools, camps, residential programs, or coaching environments Experience with student supervision and behavior management Ability to manage groups of students and enforce expectations consistently Comfortable using technology systems for attendance tracking and reporting Attributes:

Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism Organized with strong time management skills Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs and schedules Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, proactive, and able to take initiative Team-oriented with the ability to also work independently Reports to / Evaluated by:

  • Duties: Student Supervision and Daily Operations

Check in with Shift Supervisors at the start and end of each shift to receive assignments and complete required reports Carry out daily routines including wake-up, headcounts, and evening/overnight supervision Monitor student participation in after-school activities Use boarding management systems to track attendance, permissions, and student movement Supervise students in common areas including cafeteria, classrooms, learning spaces, and activity areas Monitor behavior during meals and ensure shared spaces are clean and organized Supervise study hall or designated academic time Conduct room checks during evenings and weekends Ensure students are dressed appropriately for school and residential activities Student Behavior and Support

Enforce school rules and expectations consistently Address behavior concerns promptly and document incidents as required Monitor student wellbeing and escalate concerns when needed Administer medications as directed and maintain proper documentation Communication and Coordination

Communicate regularly with the Residence Life team regarding student updates and concerns Coordinate with school staff regarding student needs when appropriate Keep students informed of schedules, expectations, and upcoming events Attend required staff meetings Support and/or lead student meetings Campus Life and Engagement

Supervise students during meals, study time, and use of shared spaces Support evening, weekend, and special residential life programming Accompany students on school-related trips and activities Monitor student sign-out procedures and verify visitors as needed Ensure students maintain cleanliness and responsibility within shared living spaces Administrative and Operational Duties

Complete required reports (morning, evening, overnight) with accurate and timely information Check and respond to email regularly during shifts Drive school vehicles for student activities, as needed Perform other duties as assigned Village Believes that Effective Employees are:
