Early Childhood Instructional Aide

Description Cole Valley Christian Schools, established in 1972, is the largest Christian school in Idaho, serving approximately 1,400 students from early childhood through 12th grade with a culture of grace, truth and love. Job Summary

Cole Valley Christian Schools is seeking God’s wisdom as we search for a Christ following Instructional Aide to support our early childhood classroom. The aide will assist the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and faith-based learning environment for young learners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation for ages 3-5 in a small group setting. Provide supervision and support for children during class, recess, and transitions for assigned classroom and/or will work as a floater to move between classes to cover staff breaks, assist with transitions in and out of classrooms and supervise recess for multiple teachers. Assist in daily routines such as eating, napping, toileting and activities. Help prepare instructional materials and maintain a clean, organized classroom. Support children’s social, emotional, and spiritual development. Reinforce classroom routines and positive behavior expectations. Participate in prayer, Bible lessons, chapel and faith-based activities. Communicate effectively with teachers and staff. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma required. Experience working with young children. Must be comfortable leading children in a small group center. Strong communication skills. Patience, flexibility and a nurturing attitude. Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord. Evidence of a teachable heart, humility, and a gentle spirit. Demonstrated ability to work in unity as part of a team, serving others.
