About the Position
The Summer Activity Coordinator is a key member of the Colorado LiftED Youth Program team, leading engaging activities for youth in grades 3–8. In this role, you’ll support students’ social and emotional growth by co‑designing and delivering movement‑based experiences that build confidence, connection, and joy. But this position is about more than activities—you’re also building meaningful relationships. At CLF, we go an inch wide and a mile deep, which means truly knowing the young people in your program as individuals, not just participants. As an advocate for our youth and families, you help create an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and valued. The Summer Activity Coordinator reports to the Site Leader at their assigned location.
- Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic activities focused on youth collaboration, identity, self-awareness, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a space that encourages active participation and belonging for all students.
- Collaborate with faculty, families, and community partners to promote wellness and engagement–be the person who finds the resource, makes the call, or sits with youth until things are better.
- Manage facility usage and equipment inventory while ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations and supervision standards.
- Adapt activities based on direct input from youth–their interests, questions, and experiences–so that programming reflects who they are and better serves youth needs.
- Maintain discretion and handle sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism.
- Invest time in building strong, trusting relationships with and among youth.

- Exceptional written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.

- A demonstrated belief in Colorado LiftED Foundation’s mission and values.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED. Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check. Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
Pay & Benefits This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position running from May 28 – July 17.
Schedule
- 20 – 25 hours per week.
- Pay
- Rate: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience (Pre-tax total earning potential of $3,000 – $3,700).
