Job description
Discovery Ranch, a leading residential treatment center for boys aged 13-18 in Utah, is seeking Youth Mentors to join our team. As a Youth Mentor, you will have the opportunity to work with our students, helping them to develop new skills and advance their personal growth. You will be part of a supportive team of experienced professionals who are committed to helping young boys heal mentally, physically, and emotionally. . Discovery Ranch combines the power of traditional and experiential therapies, including equine therapy and horsemanship programs, to create a clinically sophisticated, relationship-based setting that promotes growth and healing.
Responsibilities
Monitor the students' throughout the night Help manage and document behavioral issues and progress. Provide support to students and their families. Maintain a safe and positive environment for the students. Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students, and respond to emergencies as needed Collaborate with other professionals as part of the treatment team. Help teach values such as Responsibility, Grit, Honesty, Respect, Courage, Kindness, and Accountability to students Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain a high standard of care for students Part time hours | $16-17/hour DOE Weekends: Friday 10:45pm - Saturday 9:00am, Saturday 10:45pm- Sunday 9:00am & Sunday 10:45pm- Monday 7:00am Located in Mapleton, Utah. Entry level with opportunity to advance Gain professional behavioral and mental health experience Help teenagers in need Please note: your resume should include education, work experience, certifications, and licenses Must be able to pass a background check Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team Must be able to demonstrate flexibility, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Ability to respond effectively and efficiently in crisis situations Passionate about working with young people and helping them to achieve their full potential.
