The instructor is responsible for delivering classroom and laboratory instruction, evaluating student performance in clinical and academic settings, and maintaining accurate student records. They must also develop course materials and serve as a liaison between clinical sites and the college.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least three years of varied nursing experience since graduation. A current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas is required.

The Vocational Nursing Program is seeking qualified individuals that may be assigned an entire course on a semester basis or be utilized on an as-needed basis to substitute for full-time faculty in specific sections of a course(s). Within the guidelines of the Texas Board of Nursing and Blinn College, the faculty shall understand and be willing to promote and support the mission and goals of Blinn College and the Vocational Nursing Program. The faculty shall perform administrative duties, classroom/laboratory instruction, and other duties as assigned. The faculty will consist of a registered nurse who has graduated from an accredited program and is in “good standing” with the Texas Board of Nursing.
RN with at least three (3) years of varied nursing experience since graduation from school.
Minimum Competencies Evidence of teaching abilities and maintaining current knowledge, clinical expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Required: Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas
Preferred Competencies Knowledge of the vocational nursing curriculum and instructional methodology and techniques; Knowledge of the Texas administrative code part 11, chapter 214, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Guidelines for Instructional Programs in Workforce Education.
