We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who love to engage with children ages 2 to 8 and are excited to create a summer full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories.
As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will support and lead your group throughout the day, participating in all camp activities—from outdoor play and creative arts to STEM and water fun. Counselors assist activity specialists, support camper participation, and serve as positive role models. More importantly, they create a safe, warm, and joyful environment where campers feel free to try new things, build friendships, and grow in confidence and independence.

Summer Camp Counselor – Some Key Responsibilities Create a positive and engaging camp experience while ensuring the safety and well-being of all children. Camp Counselors support daily programming, collaborate with teaching staff, and lead activities that promote growth, confidence, and independence.
Maintain active supervision of children at all times, including in the classroom, playground, and pool areas Support the classroom teacher with lesson plans and lead small group activities and demonstrations Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities (e.g., games, songs, storytelling) that support physical, social, and emotional development Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages positive self-image, individuality, and independence Model and promote respectful, positive interactions among children and staff Communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and team members Supervise recess and coordinate playground coverage to ensure proper staffing and safety Assist with daily care routines, including bathroom support, diapering, and changing as needed Greet families at drop-off and pick-up; ensure proper identification and release procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms, equipment, and shared spaces Support lifeguards during pool time by actively supervising assigned groups Uphold confidentiality of all child, family, and organizational information Perform additional duties as assigned to support camp operations This role is ideal for candidates who are dependable, proactive, and passionate about working with children in a dynamic team environment. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Role is primarily classroom-based and requires full mobility, including frequent standing, sitting, bending, and active movement throughout the workday Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment that may involve managing multiple priorities and responding to dynamic staffing needs Flexibility and adaptability are essential to support daily operations and team coverage Position is performed onsite unless otherwise approved by management
Minimum age of 18 High School Diploma or GED required CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children An understanding of health and safety guidelines. Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Must be able to work all 5 days, same shift consistently. Must be able to work minimum of the 7 of the 8 weeks of summer camp. We ask for all fall school start dates along with any planned vacations to be given during the interview process
