The floater teacher supports lead teachers by implementing classroom activities that promote the emotional, social, and physical development of children. They also ensure a safe, clean environment and maintain communication with families through daily reports and assessments.
Candidates should have a high school diploma, with a CDA, associate, or bachelor degree in early childhood education preferred. At least two years of experience working with young children is preferred, along with the physical ability to engage in active play.
On an as needed basis, follow the lead teacher’s plan to implement, provide and supervise safe classroom activities, which promote the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of the children.
Young children move constantly throughout their day. Teachers must be able to maintain the same level of energy throughout the day.
