Monday – Friday | 8am – 4pm
As a Day Camp Counselor, you’ll deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging programming for children while helping create a fun and supportive camp environment. You’ll plan activities, supervise campers, and ensure every child feels welcomed, safe, and encouraged.
🌟 Essential Responsibilities Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as archery, canoeing, swimming, arts & crafts, games, and group activities.
Supervise a group of 8–10 campers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Actively participate in activities, including swimming with campers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized camp environment.
Prepare daily supplies and communicate needs to the Camp Director.
Document and report incidents, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
Communicate professionally with parents and refer concerns to supervisors as needed.
Serve as a positive role model, following camp policies and wearing the staff uniform and photo ID.
Encourage feedback through program evaluations to help improve camp experiences.
✅ Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age and/or possess a High School Diploma or equivalent Prior experience working with children is preferred Valid driver’s license required CPR/AED certification required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
💪 Physical & Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and physical activity Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Exposure to noise, allergens, large groups, and active environments Ability to remain professional under deadlines and while handling concerns
