Opportunity
Details: Provide clinical care for patients in the outpatient addiction clinic and opioid treatment program. Diagnose substance use disorders and non-substance related addiction disorders and recommend treatment that considers levels of care criteria. Order and manage medications for addiction treatment, including for opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder. Monitor the progress of individuals in treatment and review the appropriateness of continued treatment and level of care Contribute to the completion of Treatment Plans and Utilization Reviews. Teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students rotating on addiction services as well as preparing didactic presentations as needed. Assist with orientation of new physicians and staff in addiction services. Assist medical leadership with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement projects as needed. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry. Active New York State Medical License.
