  • Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries is seeking Christ-centered individuals or married couples to serve as Houseparents.
  • In this role, you will work a flexible schedule of 5 days on and 2 days off, residing in the cottage full-time while on shift.
  • As a Houseparent, your primary responsibility will be to provide the overall safety, care, and nurturing of the children while maintaining cottage routines to include: meal preparation, transportation to and from school and appointments, daily chores, extracurricular activities, schoolwork, personal hygiene and life skills, appropriate guidance and discipline, and Bible devotions.
  • Houseparents work at our Adams Campus that is nestled in an urban area between, Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC, and conveniently located approximately 1 hour from the closest mountain range and beach.
  • This one-home location is an extension of our main campus located in Greenwood, SC and provides residential care for boys and girls ranging from age five to eighteen.
  • They attend private school, and are active in a local South Carolina Baptist Church, participating in Bible study, worship and missions.
  • It's often said that it takes a village to raise a child.
  • With that in mind, our Houseparents work collaboratively with an additional support team including campus Houseparents, an on-site Campus Administrator, and the Greenwood Campus Team along with community partners.
  • Requirements for the position include a High School Diploma or equivalent, experience working with children or in a childcare field, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a valid driver's license and the ability to pass extensive background screenings.
