We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Montessori Toddler Teacher to guide our toddler classroom (ages 24 months – 3 years).
Position Summary
The Lead Montessori Toddler Teacher is responsible for preparing and maintaining a developmentally appropriate Montessori classroom environment, guiding young children in their early stages of independence, and fostering a respectful and nurturing atmosphere that supports each child’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a Montessori-aligned toddler classroom environment
- Guide children through practical life, sensorial, language, and early social development activities
- Observe and assess children’s developmental progress
- Create and implement lesson plans based on Montessori principles
- Foster independence, confidence, and respect among children
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress and development
- Collaborate with school leadership and staff to support the school’s educational mission
- Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing regulations
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff in the classroom
Qualifications
- Montessori Toddler Certification (AMI, AMS, MACTE, or equivalent) preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years experience working with toddlers in a Montessori or early childhood classroom
- Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to create a nurturing and structured learning environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation
