About your Role

  • The Independent Living Program (ILP) helps youth and young adults, who are or were in Foster Care gain the knowledge, skills, and ability to become self-sufficient adults. It gives young people the opportunity to learn the skills they need to make a successful transition from state or tribal custody to living on their own. The Independent Living Coordinator (ILC) provides support in developing educational and employment skills, health education and access, life skills, healthy and supportive relationships, transportation, and housing needs.
