The Pediatric Occupational Therapist conducts evaluations, develops individualized plans of care, implements treatment interventions, and maintains patient documentation. They also provide consultations and re-evaluations to ensure effective care.
Candidates should have a passion for pediatrics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A Master's degree, state license, and CPR certification are preferred.
Sign-on Bonus: $500
An average day for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist: Conducting Initial Evaluation including a comprehensive evaluation of documentation, formal occupational therapy tests, and other relevant tests to be able to establish a plan of care Completing and individualized Plan of Care which defines treatment rendered, frequency of treatment and measurable short- and long-term goals Implements treatment and interventions to help children with disabilities participate fully in schools and social situations and/or recovering from injury to regain skills. Consultation provides consultation and educational and other advisory services to the patient, family members and caregivers. To hearing impaired individuals, screening of hearing, limited to pass/fail determination and screening of other skills for the purpose of occupational therapy evaluations.
