Part-Time to Full-Time Nanny Position | Oak Park, IL
A warm and loving family in Oak Park is seeking an engaging, reliable nanny to care for their two children (ages 5 and 3). This is a flexible PT–FT role with a guaranteed 36 hours per week, and the family is happy to offer additional hours for the right fit.
Start Date
- May 19 or
- ASAP
- Compensation: $28–$32/hour, paid bi-weekly
- Guaranteed
- Hours: 36 hours/week (opportunity for more)
- Schedule:
- Monday: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Tuesday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Wednesday: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Thursday:
- Off (option to add evening hours 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm if desired)
- Friday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm Family is flexible and open to adjusting hours or adding time to other weekdays if the nanny prefers a fuller schedule.
About the Role
School pick-up and drop-off (oldest in full-day school, youngest in part-time preschool) Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings Coordinating playdates and transporting children to activities Supporting daily routines, including meals and transitions Creating a fun, active, and nurturing environment
Responsibilities
Children’s laundry Tidying and maintaining children’s spaces Cleaning up after meals and children’s activities Preparing meals/snacks for the children Family & Home Environment: Loving, compassionate, and down-to-earth family One friendly cat in the home (no care required) Parking available in driveway Family car provided for all work-related driving Ideal Candidate: Warm, engaging, and proactive Enjoys being active, getting outside, and planning activities Experience with preschool and school-age children Able to balance structure and flexibility. Someone who can let the small things go while maintaining the boundaries parents have in place. Early childhood education background is a plus Spanish-speaking is a big plus! Comfortable taking children to the pool
