Position overview
Little Duckling Daycare is seeking a caring, patient, and dependable Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant Infant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants (6 weeks to 18 months). This role requires teamwork, flexibility, and a passion for early childhood development.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in providing a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants.
- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
- Help maintain daily routines including feeding, diapering, and napping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Assist with observing and documenting children’s development.
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with families and team members.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health, and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to ensure smooth classroom operations.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain preferred.
- Experience working with infants or young children preferred (but not required).
- Basic knowledge of infant care and development.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- A genuine passion for working with infants.
