Job Description
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide pediatric occupational therapy services for Early Intervention (birth–3) and school-age students across home, school, and community settings on Long Island. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine motor and visual-motor deficits, and functional skill needs. This role emphasizes practical, individualized interventions that support participation in daily routines, academic tasks, and age-appropriate activities. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with families, educators, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent and effective service delivery across environments. Responsibilities include: Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for EI and school-age students Provide direct occupational therapy services in home-based EI and school-based or community settings Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, play, and functional participation Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers to support carryover of skills Complete required documentation including evaluations, session notes, and progress reports Provide consultation and strategies to caregivers and school staff as appropriate Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with New York State and AOTA guidelines

Qualifications
Current New York State Occupational Therapist license required Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Pediatric experience preferred; EI and/or school-based experience a plus but not required Ability to pass required background checks and clearances Strong communication, organization, and clinical reasoning skills Ability to work independently across multiple settings while collaborating with a team Professional, reliable, flexible, and child-focused
