Salary Range
$18.00-$20.00 hourly Position Type: Full-Time (Seasonal) Location: Columbia, MO Job Summary: Seeking dedicated individuals to support youth ages 10–18 with developmental disabilities in a structured, engaging summer camp environment. Camp Counselors will assist participants in daily activities, promote skill development, and help create a safe and inclusive space where each individual can participate meaningfully. This role is well-suited for students or professionals pursuing careers in special education, psychology, social work, recreation therapy, healthcare, or human services. This is a Full-Time Seasonal (Summer) position with Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:45 AM – 7:45 PM. We offer paid training and certification, competitive pay, hands-on experience in a meaningful field, and the opportunity for continued employment during the school year.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in daily activities, community outings, and program participation
- Assist with personal care, meals, and transportation
- Complete timely and accurate daily documentation
- Maintain positive communication with individuals, families, and team members
- Ensure safety and provide appropriate supervision at all times
