Child Life Specialist

Provide emotional support, education, and coping strategies to pediatric patients and families in an outpatient setting. Utilize child development knowledge to alleviate distress and normalize the clinic environment through play and distraction techniques.

Requires a bachelor's degree in child life or a related field and completion of a child life internship. Certification as a child life specialist (Ccls) and bls certification are required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
