The Swim Instructor / Water Safety Instructor will teach Private Swim Lessons, Adult and Child Red Cross Learn-to-Swim and Infant/Toddler Swim Instruction. Lessons may be scheduled at our facility or at private homes.
Private swim lessons Deliver a 5-Star guest experience Maintain a safe and healthy environment for swimmers at each location you teach Promote all aspects of the club and Sportime programs Maintain a log of lessons given, ensure swim lessons in scheduler are accurate and pull a voucher or take payment prior to each lesson Develop and maintain cooperative work relationships with others
Must have current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification Demonstrate swimming skills consistent with an aquatics professional by swimming the following strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, sidestroke, butterfly, and tread water for 1 minute. Must have a flexible schedule to include early mornings, evenings and weekends Ability to work outdoors during warm summer months Ability to swim and carry adults to safety Must have reliable transportation to travel to offsite lessons Excellent guest service skills
In addition to the responsibilities and qualifications set forth above, this position requires physical activity, including but not limited to: Lifting (up to 50 lbs.), carrying, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, twisting and reaching using entire body and a Use of both fine and gross motor skills Sit and to stand for long periods of time
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour for in camp instruction $50.00 per hour for private swim lessons
Candidates must hold a current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification and demonstrate proficiency in all major swimming strokes. A flexible schedule and reliable transportation for offsite lessons are required.
