What We're Looking For

We’re seeking a passionate, relationship-driven Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) Instructor to work directly with students with disabilities in local schools. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in educational settings, enjoys building community partnerships, and is motivated by student success. You will act as a vital connector between students, schools, parents, and vocational rehabilitation teams to prepare young people for meaningful employment and post-school life.

Ideal Experience, Background & Skills

· Knowledge or experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities · Familiarity in Excel and Word · Experience in an school setting or with transition-aged youth. · Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, sociology, or human services (preferred, not required) · 2+ years’ experience in education, vocational support, or disability services (preferred, not required) · Knowledge of marketing and developing networks for work site experiences and job shadows is essential · Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple student schedules · Adaptable, collaborative, and values inclusive practices

As a Pre-ETS Instructor you'll spend your days

· Being a liaison for parents, students, schools, community partners, and Vocational Rehabilitation. · Collaborating with school faculty and being fully embedded in school culture · Accurately documenting services, maintaining records, and entering case notes in the Pre-ETS portal · Developing contacts in the community to help with job shadowing / job training for students. · Transporting students for summer programs or job shadowing (agency vehicle provided) · Participating in professional development and cross-training opportunities · Guiding students through employment preparation activities like job shadows and workplace readiness

Requirements

· Education and Experience: Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent; must possess a valid driver’s license and meet agency insurability requirements · Knowledge: Experience with computers and knowledge of the fundamentals of data entry; must be able to learn (instruction provided) basic principles of teaching; must have good basic mathematical computation and English Language writing knowledge. · Skills: Ability to be adaptive and flexible; excellent communication skills; time management skills; organizational skills; ability to foster a collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, cooperation, and shared goals across different departments. · Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, or sit for periods of time and to lift 40lbs; must possess the sensory capabilities necessary to perform essential job functions; must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to gloves, masks, gowns, face shields, shoes, ear plugs, etc. · Safety and Compliance: Must be able to follow all required safe and universal precaution practices; as required by specific job requirements, must know first aid, health and safety measures, or build an acceptable competence level by post-hire training.
