Join TOTUS LINGUA as a Part-Time Spanish Teacher for 6th-8th students in Chicago, IL. Inspire young minds to embrace the Spanish language through engaging and interactive lessons in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote language acquisition and cultural appreciation. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive learning experience. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs. Attend professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills and methodologies. Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enrich the learning experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or related field preferred. Previous teaching experience, particularly with PreK-8 students, is highly desirable. Strong proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching and fostering a love for languages in young learners. Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods. Current teaching certification or license in the state of Illinois is a plus.
