- Teacher duties and responsibilities: Create a positive learning environment for all students. Follow Oklahoma and/or national standards to teach assigned subject area. Plan and prepare appropriate lessons and units of study. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress. Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students. Support students academically, socially and spiritually throughout their time at Monte Cassino. Provide assistance to students during tutorial. Teach/lead an advisory class as assigned by principal. May be required to organize, supervise and chaperone field trips, dances, or other school activities. Work closely with teachers, counselors, principal and other staff on school initiatives. Be an active participant in the life of the middle school. Assist with duties such a carline, lunch/recess supervision.
- QualificationsThe desired candidate has: A Bachelor’s degree in education or teaching subject area Teaching experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong problem solving skills Collegial disposition and ability to work along side adults in the community Sense of humor, creativity and flexibility to adapt as needed Passion for working with students aged 10-14

- Works at desk and on a computer for periods of time; must be able to operate office equipment
- Works in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a wide variety of challenges and deadlines
- Must have the physical energy and stamina to move about campus throughout the day, including climbing staircases; may work long hours
- Be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Works intermittently in a variety of weather conditions, including the possibility of heat and cold
