As a Lead Teacher, you will deliver exceptional instruction and assess student growth. You are dedicated to constant learning and proactively provide academic and cultural support to your school and team. You are deeply committed to educational equity, building relationships with students and families so they are safe, seen, heard, and loved.Instructional Delivery and AssessmentFacilitate online platform to guide credit recovery sessions for studentsEnsure that students are logged in and remain on credit recovery platform for the duration of classesAssist students with lessons as neededAssist students with resets of lessons if students need to re-do the lessonUse assessment data to modify short and long-term plans in order to promote all students’ academic performanceEmbrace and incorporate feedback in the spirit of constant improvementMaintain accurate records, grade book, and data tracking systemsAcademic and Cultural SupportAssume personal responsibility for student achievementCollaborate with administration/lead teacher to promote an environment of critical thinking and academic rigorEstablish and maintain working relationships with students and families based on trust and respectParticipate in the daily functions of the school such as morning, lunch, and afternoon supervisory dutiesAttend critical school events such as staff trainings, staff meetings, morning huddles, and any other parent-student meetings and eventsMeet professional obligations including timeliness and consistency in meeting deadlinesExemplify the school cultural expectationsQualificationsBachelor’s degreeValid Missouri Teaching license with required certification for subject and level assigned. All teachers employed in an approved summer school program must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate during their teaching assignment. This certificate must be at the proper level and in the content area for the summer teaching assignment. Teachers whose certificates have expired do not hold a valid certificate.
