Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver course content for all subjects (K-8) or for certified courses (7-12) accessible at any time, including videos, readings, and assignments.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work and assessments.
  • Monitor student progress and engagement, reaching out proactively to offer support when needed.
  • Facilitate online discussions and maintain regular communication with scholars and their parents through email, announcements, or virtual meetings.
  • Should be comfortable using Learning Management Systems.
  • Utilize digital learning platforms (i.e. Google Suite, Amira, Nearpod, Dreambox, Lexia, NewsELA, etc.) to maximize student engagement and improve academic outcomes.
  • Facilitate parent/scholar meetings as assigned.
  • Provide resources and support for home learning coaches to lead their scholar's learning journey at home.
  • Analyze and use data to plan personalized learning opportunities to both provide correctives and extensions for students.
  • Traditional school hours operate from 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM (EST), however hours may be flexible based on caseload and family needs.
  • Caseloads may vary.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements.
  • NHA will support you through your alternative certification journey

Supervisory responsibilities

None.

Physical demands

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

Work environment

  • Ability to work in a high traffic, indoor environment.
