Job description
- If you have already applied in the general MIDDLE / UPPER SCHOOL TEACHERS pool, you do not need to apply again.
- Teachers at The Brook Hill School report to the Principal over their area of teaching and are responsible for the proper care of the students, subject matter, and equipment under their purview using a Christian worldview.
- Brook Hill teachers are expected to support one another and work together toward an excellent overall academic program.
- Dates and Times to be aware of: New Faculty contracts start August 1, 2026 and the school year concludes before Memorial Day 2027.
- Typically faculty are expected to be on campus from 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday.
- Faculty are under contract from August 1 - July 31, which reflects the bi-monthly payment schedule and health benefits plan year for eligible employees.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Establish and adjust course outlines and objectives by following curriculum guidelines and school goals; modify plans on the basis of student-driven data through assessments and feedback.
- Convey information to students by using language concepts, examples, demonstrations, and teaching aids, while integrating technology effectively.
- Maintain student-learning results by providing instructional feedback, coaching, and counseling to provide opportunities for student growth.
- Maintain records by documenting learning accomplishments, attendance, and behavior.
- Manage and create an intentionally inviting classroom.
- Guide students’ personal and social development by establishing rules and procedures.
- Consistently partner and communicate with parents in the shared desire of student growth and success by providing academic information, suggesting educational and social resources, and addressing parents’ concerns.
- Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration with Brook Hill team members in order to strengthen student performance and support.
- Continue professional and technical growth by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Participate in the broader ministry of Brook Hill by contributing time, talent and treasure beyond assigned role and responsibilities.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
