Candidates must demonstrate subject matter competency through at least one of the following: Endorsement in the assigned field; Degree in the assigned field; Passing score on a Colorado-approved content exam (Praxis); 36 semester credit hours in the assigned field; or National Board Certification in the assigned field Minimum Qualifications & Salary: Bachelor’s degree preferred (reflected in $45,000–$55,000 range). Candidates who meet Colorado ESSA “In-Field” requirements without a bachelor’s degree may be considered starting at $35,000. To qualify as “In-Field,” candidates must meet one of the following in the subject area: endorsement, degree, 36 credit hours, or passing Praxis exam.
