We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our team at Divine Savior Academy. As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing responsive care for young children and creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for them.

Duties
Creates and maintains a developmentally appropriate classroom environment
Responds to children’s needs in all areas, including feeding, diaper changing, toilet training, etc.
Designs and delivers effective learning experiences and lessons that support children’s development and growth in all areas: cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual
Records child assessments and documents their learning
Shares children’s learning and developmental progress with parents
Follows all classroom and school procedures to ensure the health and safety of all students
Develops a developmentally appropriate classroom management plan and procedures
Encourages children’s appropriate behavior by implementing clear expectations, consistent routines, and positive reinforcement.
Builds strong relationships with both children and families
Uses technology and other visual aids in appropriate, intentional, and beneficial ways to support learning
Differentiates lessons as needed for varied types of learners
Nurtures a positive school environment for our students and their families
Creates opportunities to strengthen the school culture of DSA by having open communication with children’s parents
Is responsible for the supervision of all children in the school.
Responds to emails and requests for information in a timely manner
Seeks to do ministry in all interactions with the students and family
Works in an effective and collaborative manner with colleagues
Supports other members of the team in our mutual ministry to the children
Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required
Strives to maintain and improve professional competence

Deals with staff or other personal conflict problems in a Christ-like manner
Support the efforts and direction of the director in a spirit of Christian service (I Corinthians 12:28-29).
Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, DSA policy, and administrative regulation
Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect facilities, furnishings, and materials.
Informs the director of all important classroom information, discipline matters, and departures from usual routines
Requirements
Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training and successful completion of competency based exams.
Holds an active Staff Credential
Previous experience in the early childhood field
Ability to work proficiently in a diverse, multicultural setting
Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
A desire to actively support the ministerial objectives of Divine Savior Lutheran Church and Academy
Exemplary Christian role model who lets his or her “light shine” when interacting with the DSA Family and the community.
