Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA for the 2025–2026 school year.

Job Status

Part-time, non-exempt LOCATION: Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA PAY: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour HOURS: 7:00 - 8:35 am & 3:20 - 6:30 pm

Position Responsibilities The Before and After School Program team is responsible for: Assisting with the facilitation of hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities Assisting students with homework Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment Serving as a positive role model for children in the program Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

18 years of age or older High School Diploma or equivalent 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13 Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB. Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable Strong interpersonal and communication skills Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
